A Rose for Livvy tells the story of a lonely girl who develops an online relationship with someone she meets in an Internet chat room. Livvy has moved to a new apartment with her mother, who is too busy to spend time with her, and she has not yet made any friends at school. As a result, Livvy spends a lot of time on the computer and an online relationship evolves into a personal encounter at a nearby mall. Unfortunately, the man Livvy meets turns out to be very different than what she expected. This dramatic program, based on real-life situations, emphasizes the possible dangers of developing Internet relationships.
